Research projects
Luode offers support to researchers and organisations in the organisation of experiments, acquisition of measurement data and maintenance of measurement stations.
Industry and energy sector
Luode designs and implements environmental studies and modelling services for industry. We also provide a wide range of measurement, sampling, sounding and modelling services related to underwater noise, sediments and benthic fauna.
Community planning
We carry out measurements of stormwater quantity and quality in challenging conditions. Baseline and calibration measurements are available for drainage and stormwater network modelling. We also offer measurement services for the localisation of wastewater discharges and various waterborne contaminants. We also carry out 2D and 3D water flow modelling for urban planners.
For drinking water measurements, our services cover the design and implementation of raw water intake measurement systems and the safeguarding of water quality in the network from the waterworks to the consumers. We assist in the selection and instrumentation of raw water intake points for chemical spills, oil and blue-green algae. We have been pioneers in the design and implementation of early warning stations in the water supply sector, such as the Päijänne tunnel
Ports, fairways and marine disposal sites
Our surveying services for waterway construction include sediment quantity, thickness and quality, as well as pre- and post-disposal surveys. We also carry out wave height and current measurements and modelling for harbours, maritime safety and fairway design projects.
